Duke Nukem Forever, well what can we say, here at the Supa Swap office we found this one a real dissapointment to play and will not be rushing out to buy this one. Thats not to say you will not like this one, but I will have to rate this one 1/10.

The Best Points

It is funny to be able to shrink your enemies and Stomp on them! that is the highlight of this game.

The Bad Points

Where do I start? Long, this game seems to go on and on but not in a good way, the scenes are very boring even in the driving sections this game does not seem to perform the way it should. When you shoot the enemy there is a lack of impact, as if the game lacks excitement which makes it actually funny to play. Each level is short and empty of things to do and search for and the loading between games are too long, which I cant understand why when the levels are so simple.

This is suppose to be an exciting Sci-Fi shooting game but really it is an embarrassment to the gaming world. It is as if these levels were just thrown together in an attempt to release as quick as possible.


If you are a fan then we apologise, but this one really did not do it for us here at Supa Swap.

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition has to be one of the funniest and well thought of games we here at Supa Swap have seen in a long time. Attention to detail of the characters are excellent and the scenes are the same.

Sat here in my office playing through this adventure game I suddenly realised I was taken back to my childhood, this arcade feel game really was fun to play.

Super Street fighter IV arcade version is said to be one of the best fighting games of the 21st Century. This new revised version of Street fighter IV has added four extra characters, tweaking the online experience and adding more levels to keep you wanting more.

Downsides

The downsides to Street Fighter IV is there seems to be a little lack in challenges for the new characters, there is a shortage of moves which can make it a little boring to play and each level can seem the same.

Overall this is a great game with fantastic screen graphics and an awesome two player function that allows you to play against your best enemy! I certainly found this game had everything to offer, allowing you to use skill to fight your appointment.

The First Templar, by Supa Swap.

The Holy Grail is such a sacred object that many films and games are based around the supposed powers it holds. The First Templar does just that and takes you into this action packed exciting game using the unimaginable delights and powers that is promised to us all by The Holy Grail.

The Knights Templar are the sworn protectors of this ancient prize, but they too are put into temptation like every other human being, and you  find yourself in the middle of a battle over who will hold this sacred object. This game is full of twists and goals to achieve along the way with its pleasing graphics and action packed levels truly keep you wanting more as you make your way through this 13th Century journey.

The First Templar is truly amazing, always throwing new directions and objects in your path, the game can be very long but time certainly does not stand still in this magical adventure.

Some downsides are that some of the collisions are a little basic and some levels lack in objects to collect and use. On the plus side the characters are very well developed with thought put into every detail, even down to the comments they sometimes come out with. Full of alternate routes and caves to keep you occupied for hours and truly excellent battle moves.

This scores high in the Supa Swap rating of 9/10 for its pure adventure adrenaline. This game is worth the time if you are looking for a completely different adventure.

Lara Croft is back acording to Simon Bramble, the writer of Lara Croft.

 

Here at Supa Swap we discover that the latest of the Tomb Raider games is to be released this month and it is called "Searching For Lara Croft"  but where has she been all this time?

The first series of the Tomb Raider games were very popular in the late 90's but became dated when a few better rivals were released, with the likes of Spiderman and Transformers taking front row, giving this amateur game a very dated look.

New Design

The latest Tomb Raider has come back with a bang! The graphics are second to none and the storyline is much more life like than the basic first edition. Lara will take a whole new direction in this amazing adventure, with endless new toys and the journey will just keep you wanting more whilst keeping most of the favourite elements from the former game which gave this it a very special feel.

Same Lara Croft

Lara Croft is the same character we all grew to love and respect, only this time she is much more grown up and sharper in her apearence. Lara gives a whole new edge to this adventure, almost like she acts like she has more experience to deal with situations and trials thrown in her way. This adventure beats the former game hands down, making this one a 9/10 on the Supa Swap game rating.

 

Transformers, Dark Of The Moon is in theory and according to the film suppose to be out of this world, but whether they have tried too hard to make this a big hit or simply not bothered at all, Supa Swap feel this one is lacking in something.

 

The Good

This one is packed with fighting and watching enemies fly can be fun, all of the Transformers have their own unique abilities and strengths.

The Bad

Very dated graphics and visual content, like as if it was made in the 80's. Short scenes,some of the Transformers are a bit simple how they change from a vehicle to a robot as if they ran out of ideas.

The Ugly

Every time there is a new Transformer movie there has to be a new Transformer game, the trouble is that where as in the film a lot can be changed, different characters and actors to different towns and even countries that in the game version there is not much that can be changed apart from improving in graphic and character quality.

"Dark of the moon" seems to  lack in both of these which is a shame considering how much money is put into delivering one of the most advanced films or our time.

Overall

Transformers did not do it for us here at Supa Swap therefore rating this a 3/10.

Batman, Arkham Asylum is the latest of the Batman series to be released and here at Supa Swap  and we are proud to review this one as I am a huge Batman fan.

 

That aside you do not need to be a Batman fan to enjoy what this game has to offer. This really is an action packed game giving you hours and hours of brain teasing fun.

The Good

The story really gets you involved with the  flawless screen graphics and so many exciting things to open and discover like the challenging map into other levels.

This game keeps you hungry for the next level even when you have completed the 240 riddles, you are still left wanting more.

The Bad

Very tempting to just play through the entire game in detective vision mode, this allows you to be almost indestructible, this is like a "cheat" built into the game.
Super villians that you can't fight with seem a waste.

Finale

Batman really takes on a new edge of gameplay, and if you are all wondering what the Arkham Asylum is then here it is.
It is an Iconic psychiatric hospital set in Gotham City.The Asylum has housed just about every villain that Batman come into contact with, Arkham is home to the most dangerous thugs around, and in this game it is your chance to be Batman, doing everything you dreamed of once you have become Batman and play his role, well virtually everything except driving the Batmobile!

A definite 10/10 on Supa Swap's game rating.

Supa Swap has to mention Portal 2, innovative and brain teasing puzzle game that lets your imagination run further than your character.

Portal 2 has the most unusual settings and funny dialogues that takes you through this strange but exciting challenge game. Portal 2 leaves you with a feeling of "How did that happen?" or "What happens now?" You will soon start to learn more and quickly as you pass through and back through Portal 2.

Object Of The Game

The main object of the game "Portal 2" is puzzles; this is a single player game. Portal 2 puts you into a sense of false security, making you feel like you know the situation, something familiar but before you know it Portal 2 has swept the floor from under your feet and set you onto a roller coaster ride of puzzles, like never before. Having to unfold tricks and secret games to move on to the next level. Portal 2 is very challenging but can be a little unclear of where to go to next.

 

The Good Points

The good points, we at Supa Swap found, are clever puzzles, set out in such a way that sometimes the answer was right in front of your face. The game puts you into some very strange situations, which we found adds a challenge to the game. You can pay with other PC payers, which makes a bit more fun to play.

 

The Bad Points

 

The bad points that we found were the particularly long and frequent loading times from one level to another, and at times poor graphics.

Do PS2 Games work on PS3?

This is the question so many people have been asking, so this week Supa Swap talk about compatibility.

At first when the PS3 was released all the games for PS2 were compatible, so many of the older games would work but the quality will not be as clear as a PS3 game, some games will suffer from speed or attention to detail and graphics, but will defiantly work.

 

PS2

Sony still make games for the PS2, but these are not compatible with the PS3, the prices are much lower and the quality is at a much less level and will only work for the PS2.

PS3

PS3 games are a lot more advanced, more expensive and can not be played on the PS2, but the advantages of owning the latest Playstation is of course you have the choice of every game released, not just a handful to keep the PS2 owners happy.

Our Choice

In conclusion Supa Swap feel that the best way to enjoy the most out of gaming is to invest in the best, Sony Playstation 3.

DJ Hero was released last year and was faced with a lot of skeptical comments from people all over the world, both professional DJ's or just wannabe's. There are hundreds of DJ programs on the market that were being passed off as just another simple mixing desk.

 

DJ Hero Is Different

The more people that bought DJ Hero the more it was realized that this game really is special and far more professional than any other DJ game on the market, but it did come with a large price tag. DJ Hero soon became the best seller of its time and by the end of 2010 DJ Hero 2 was born.

More Control

There are not many changes from the first edition and some of the team here at Supa Swap have played both. There are a few differences with the turntable controls and once you start playing you realize that the player has a lot more control than the last edition, in-fact this feels like a completely new, but much better game to play, making even the most tone def user sound like a pro!

Back To The Future is set to be a big hit with all you PS3 fans, with Marty McFly and Doc Brown returning in this completely new adventure. Almost 6 Months since the release of the 3rd film, the DeLorean Time Machine mysteriously turns up in Hill Valley and with no driver! Marty has to go back in time to get help from Brown, or else the space time continuum will forever be unravelled.

This fantastic game takes you back in time as Marty and Doc go through a time-travel adventure based on the real blockbuster movie which most have seen and loved.
The graphics in this game are second to none and the levels are packed with gadgets and more adventure that even the most advances game player can cope with.

his game really is set to hit the market and be a complete sell out, so get your copy early.

This really deserves a 10/10 in the Supa Swap game rating. We can not wait for the 15th February.
